Assessing Your Needs to Grow Your Own Health (Part 1 of 4)
Growing your own health can be very beneficial not only to you, but to all those who live in your household. Creating an environment where there are healthy choices right in your very own yard can bring the entire family into healthy living. Over the next few weeks we are going to take a look at a few different steps to take when you are growing your own health.
Step 1: Assess your needs. This has a lot to do with what you are required to do, besides what you are eating, to require you to live a healthy and balanced life.
What are you allergic to?
Where does it affect you?
What food seems to amplify the problem?
What environment seems to amplify the problem?
What meds have you been given, and what symptoms are they supposed to treat?
Healing meds or suppressants.
We suggest keeping a health journal. Wait about 30 minutes to an hour after you have eaten and then take note of what ailments you are feeling and where you are feeling them in your body. After eating do they seem to worsen or improve?
If you can simplify the foods you eat by eating more natural sourcing or more raw food diet so it is a small number of ingredients to more easily deduce what food it is that is causing you to feel worse. So, really simplify your diet and then slowly start introducing more food items and journal what the new foods make you feel like.
